ExpenseTrackr ("the app") is a personal expense-tracking application developed by RevanthDev. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
All of your expenses, income, budgets, and categories are stored exclusively on your device in a local database. This financial data is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with anyone.
To help us find and fix bugs, the app uses Google Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes, an anonymous crash report is sent to Google. It may include your device model, operating system version, app version, and the technical stack trace of the crash. It does not include your expenses, income, or any amounts you have entered.
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate (for example, which screens are opened and how often the app is launched). This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. It does not include the content of your financial records.
The Android app uses Google AdMob to display banner, native, and rewarded advertisements. AdMob and participating advertising partners may process device identifiers, advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, ad interactions, diagnostics, and related data to select, deliver, measure, and protect advertising from fraud. Advertisers do not receive the expenses, income, budgets, notes, or other financial records you enter.
Some backup, restore, and report-download actions may request a rewarded advertisement. The first two operations proceed normally, and every third operation requests a rewarded ad. If an ad cannot load, the operation remains available. The app stores a small counter locally on your device to determine when the next rewarded ad is due.
Where required and made available, you may be asked for consent before personalized advertising is used. Depending on your choice and region, Google may show personalized or non-personalized ads. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in Android settings and manage choices offered by Google through its advertising settings.
Crash reporting and analytics are processed through Firebase, while advertising is processed through Google AdMob and participating advertising partners. Their handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. We do not sell your financial records.
Your financial records stay on your device and you can delete them using the app's controls or by clearing the app's storage in Android settings. Clearing app storage also removes the local rewarded-ad counters.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
